Career Counselling Session for DPT students’17
As our graduating batch of 2017 stands on the cross roads; over whelmed with challenges and opportunities that wait ahead and prepares to write their own stories of full filling careers, IUAA organized a Career Counselling session for the final year students of Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) to enlighten them about different academic paths and help them explore and critically analyze multitude of career opportunities. Dr. Satish Kumar briefed students on educational tracks available in USA and Canada while Dr. Vinod Kumar, Assistant Professor, Altibri Medical College, Karachi delivered a session on opportunities of this dynamic profession in Middle East. They also advised them about different certifications they can pursue and how these can add to their competence and maximize their potential. Dr. Junaid Farrukh, Physical Therapist, College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Canada educated students about multiple career path ways they can follow. The last speaker, Dr. Muhammad Asif Shaikh, Principal IRRS, Karachi) conducted a detailed session about further educational options enabling students to make informed decisions with adequate knowledge and skills as they move along phases of their professional career.
