Annual Alumni Gathering’17

We live our life fulfilling our quotidian duties oblivious to blessings that surround us and by the time we realize what we have been blessed with, it is usually too late. However when our old times call us, nostalgia comes rushing to our mind in a splash and we desire to relive the carefree college days.

On 27 January, 2017, Isra University Alumni Association (IUAA) hosted the Annual Alumni Gathering in honor of the graduating batch of 2017. This time IUAA took a step further and set a new tradition to reconnect alumni of the first five graduating batches to their Alma Mater by inviting them to this event for their reunion.

President, IUAA, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi delivered a welcome speech and highlighted the initiatives and accomplishments of IUAA over the past year including Alumni Awareness Day, Career Counselling sessions, Yearbook, Mobile App and Alumni Card.

IUAA set a precedent by introducing the Yearbook and Mobile App for the very first time. Patron, IUAA, Dr. Asadullah Kazi and Vice Chancellor, Isra University, Dr. Ghulam Qadir Kazi launched the yearbook followed by cake cutting ceremony. This yearbook comprises of profiles of notable students of the graduating batch and notable alumni from previous batches.

General Secretary, IUAA, Ms. Hummaira Jabeen briefed the attendees about features of Mobile App purpose of which is to facilitate the collaboration and communication between alumni members.

Vice Chancellor, IU congratulated the graduates and reflected on some key life lessons in his speech. In his closing remarks, Patron, IUAA welcomed the batch of 2017 to the alumni association and wished them good luck for their future endeavors.
