Annual Alumni Gathering 2018
We live our life fulfilling our quotidian duties oblivious to blessings that surround us and by the time we realize what we have been blessed with, it is usually too late. However, when our old times call us, nostalgia comes rushing to our mind in a splash and we desire to relive the carefree college days. On 26 January, 2018 Isra University Alumni Association (IUAA) hosted the Annual Alumni Gathering in honor of the graduating batch of 2018. Continuing the tradition started last year, this time IUAA invited graduating batches i.e. 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 to revive their memories and reconnect alumni to their Alma Mater in this reunion. President IUAA, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi delivered a welcome speech and highlighted the initiatives and accomplishments of IUAA over the past year including Alumni Awareness Day, Interactive session on Managing Depression, Information session on Foreign Scholarships, and Career Counselling sessions. This time IUAA came with the second Yearbook for the year, 2018 that contain profiles of notable students of the graduating batch and notable alumni from previous batches. General Secretary IUAA, Ms. Hummaira Jabeen briefed the attendees about the purpose and benefits of being associated with IUAA and how IUAA is always striving to bring best to its Alumni, making this connection stronger each passing year with new triumphs. Vice Chancellor, Isra University congratulated the graduates and reflected on some key life lessons in his speech. In his closing remarks, Patron, IUAA not only welcomed the batch of 2018 to the alumni association and wished them good luck for their future endeavors but also resigned from his Patronship and welcomed new office bearers. He introduced Dr. Vivek Anand as the new Joint Secretary IUAA; Ms. Fizza Zafar Bhatti as General Secretary IUAA; Dr. Amin Memon as Vice President IUAA; Ms. Humaira Jabeen as the President IUAA, and handed over the Patronship to Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, wished them good fortune and success for future happenings.
